We use Calyx Point, Dropbox Pro, Adobe Acrobat Pro DC.
We backup our Calyx on a daily basis to a cloud based application with 256-bit AES encryption at rest and SSL/TLS in transit.
Our Dropbox Pro account also has 256-bit AES encryption at rest and SSL/TLS in transit.
We keep a paperless office, and submit all documents to lenders, brokers, etc, using Adobe Acrobat Pro DC, all stored securely on Dropbox Pro. In lieu of uploading documents to a lender's website, we can send our lenders a password protected encrypted link so that they can upload documents to their system. We work closely with our lenders to make sure we use the best available option in terms of security.
We assign our MLOs their own Dropbox file to keep a copy of the compliance file (stacking order) once their first loan is funded. MLOs will maintain access to their assigned Dropbox files as long as they have activity with us during a calendar year; we reserve the right to remove the file after one year of inactivity.
We understand how important it is to safeguard and protect our borrowers' identity, that is why we request that we all become partners in identity theft prevention. We request that all files are uploaded directly on to our Dropbox Pro via a secure link that we provide to our borrowers. MLOs will also be assigned a secure Dropbox file for their uploads such as documents obtained during the pre-qualification phase of the loan.
We take great pride in handling all aspects of the business with utmost care to confidentiality and privacy.
August 31, 2016 UPDATE: We were NOT affected by the Dropbox breach of 2012, which has been in the news recently. We use two-step authentication. Dropbox has also upgraded their security since. We take your information security very seriously.
